Each system is fully characterized and tested prior to shipment.  The data (inclusive of the closed position loop and full travel test) is archived establishing a benchmark as-shipped condition for each system.  The ability to review and compare this data enables us to constantly improve our systems to the benefit of JONIX and more importantly, the end user.

Part Quality

Surface Roughness and Form Accuracy are influenced by many factors.  These include, but are not limited to, material, tool radius, tool feed, spindle speed, spindle error motion and machine vibration.  JONIX FTS systems are designed with machine vibration in mind.  Friction-free air bearings are used for smooth, repeatable motion.  An air bearing counter balance is used to eliminate the possibility of the FTS itself exciting modes of vibration on the machine tool it is mounted to.  Careful tuning ensures that each system is at its best performance level prior to shipment.

The JONIX FTS systems are essentially high-frequency axes of motion that can have up to 1000 micrometers of motion at 100Hz (6000 rpm) capable of producing optical quality surfaces on a variety of different materials
